Imagine a world in which the Creator wavered, changing His mind, faltering under circumstance, shifting with every passing moment. What chaos and uncertainty that would bring. But thanks be to God, we do not worship such a being. Our God is the unchanging God. What He has spoken, He will surely accomplish, and no one and nothing can hinder His sovereign will.
The Scriptures are the very Word of God, standing firm today just as when He first spoke them into existence. Our Lord Himself declared that till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. His Word is steadfast, His promises unshakable, His purposes certain.
Praise be to the God who does not change.
