| "For in You, O LORD, I hope; You will hear, O LORD my God." - Psalm 38:15
"For whom the LORD loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives." - Hebrews 12:6
The child of God may indeed experience the chastening of the Lord when he continues in sin without repentance, yet the Lord will never forsake His own. Whom the Lord loves, He chastens, and every son receives His correcting hand. His anger is but for a moment, but His favor endures for a lifetime. “Weeping may tarry for the night, but joy comes with the morning” (Ps. 30:5).
Therefore, hope in the Lord, for He will surely hear.
