"So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.' " - Acts 16:31
What does it mean to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ? It is far more than a superficial acknowledgment or a mere intellectual agreement. Our Lord Himself warned that even the demons believe—yet they do not submit to His Lordship. True belief is a surrender of the heart. It is laying down one’s life into the hands of the Lord Jesus Christ, trusting Him fully as Lord and Savior. It is a wholehearted faith that bows to His authority, relies on His finished work, and yields one’s life to His care.
When we believe on the Lord Jesus Christ from the heart, He comes to dwell within us. His Spirit seals us, guides us, and transforms us.
Trust Him as your Lord and Savior today.
