"For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God." - 1 Corinthians 1:18
The cross of our Lord Jesus Christ stands at the very center of the gospel. The gospel is truly good news, yet at its heart is the suffering our Lord endured and the separation He bore from the Father so that salvation might be offered to all who believe. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes, regardless of background, race, or status. As precious as this message is, it remains foolishness to many, but to those who are being saved, it is the very power of God. Therefore, let us not keep this gospel to ourselves. Let us faithfully share it with all whom the Lord brings across our path. And let us rejoice in the glorious gospel that our Lord has revealed to us.
