| "Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents." - Luke 15:10
"So they said, 'Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.' " - Acts 16:31
One of the most beautiful truths revealed in Scripture is that heaven rejoices over a sinner who repents. Among all that takes place on earth, nothing is said to bring such joy to the courts of heaven as a person turning from sin and receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. When someone calls upon the name of Jesus in genuine repentance and faith, God receives that person, not because of their past, but because of His grace.
This heavenly joy is precious because it reflects the very heart of God. For that one sinner, the Father sent His only Son, who willingly laid down His life to redeem them. The salvation of a soul is the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose and the triumph of Christ’s sacrifice.
To God be the glory for His saving grace and for the joy that fills heaven when even one sinner comes home.
