"When You said, 'Seek My face,' my heart said to You, 'Your face, LORD, I will seek.' " - Psalm 27:8 "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." - Matthew 6:33 If we were asked to choose the single most important thing in our lives, what would we choose? Sadly, for many Christians, seeking the righteousness of our Lord is not always first. When our eyes and hearts drift away from Him, the world quickly pulls us toward itself, and our priorities begin to settle on things that are empty and vain. The two greatest commandments God has given us are centered on love. We are commanded to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, and mind. As we walk through each day, seeking the Lord and His righteousness should remain our highest priority. King David was called a man after God’s own heart because he continually sought the Lord and ran to Him—even in the moments when he stumbled. May we do the same: seeking the Lord, pursuing His face, and choosing to walk in His will. Praise the Lord!
