| "Jesus answered them, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." - John 8:34-36
"But now having been set free from sin, and having become slaves of God, you have your fruit to holiness, and the end, everlasting life." - Romans 6:22
Since the fall of Adam, the first man, every human is a slave of sin leading to death. If one dies in his sins, he is lost forever in eternity. The wages of sin is death, and no flesh will be justified in the presence of the holy God based on our righteousness. But Jesus Christ, the Son of God, came to free us from the bondage of sin and the eternal consequence of sin as a result. He freed us and led us to everlasting life. With the guidance and strength of the Holy Spirit, every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is equipped to bear fruit to holiness, while forsaking sin. We are being transformed into the image of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us cherish the liberty we have in Jesus Christ while seeking the Holy Spirit's guidance to live a holy life. If the Son made us free, we are free indeed.
