| "...The LORD, the LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation." - Exodus 34:6,7
"The LORD is gracious and full of compassion. Slow to anger and great in mercy. The LORD is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works." - Psalm 145:8,9
Our God is a merciful and forgiving God. All those who come to Him with repentance and a contrite heart, He will not forsake. If it was not for the mercy and patience of God, our world would have ceased to exist, because the iniquity and wickedness of our world are many and loathsome. But praise be to God who offers forgiveness and mercy. God will judge sin, and He judged the entire world once with the flood to cleanse it. Our God also judged our Lord Jesus Christ on the cross, when the sin of the world was laid upon Him. All who now look to Jesus and turn to Him for forgiveness with repentance, will receive the grace of God.
Our God is gracious and full of compassion.
