"But Simon Peter answered Him, 'Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.' " - John 6:68, 69
In the Bible Jesus Christ our Lord is called the Word of God. He directly proceeded from God. Even before He was born on earth, He was with the Father and the Father with Him. Without the Word of God, we have darkness, and nothing can satisfy our eternal soul. The disciples believed in Jesus as the their Lord and Messiah and as a result embraced eternal life. The word of God is also compared to a lamp which provides light in a dark place. Embrace the grace of God through Jesus Christ. He is our Lord and Savior. Love and cherish Him, and give Him all glory.
