"So the LORD said to Cain, 'Why are you angry? And why has your countenance fallen? If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it." - Genesis 4:6,7 "Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead. For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace." - Romans 6:12-14 The problem of sin like a plague has taken over the entire creation of God. When we sin, we rebel against the most holy God, and we separate ourselves from Him. Unless we live in perfect fellowship with the Holy Spirit in obedience and faithfulness, we cannot escape sinning. But no one ever escaped sin in their mortal bodies except for Jesus Christ, the sinless One! Our Lord's work on the cross has purchased us victory over sin and death. This doesn't mean we do not sin, but true believers do not desire to sin but present ourselves to God as a living sacrifice. Thanks be to God who has given us victory over sin through the work of Jesus Christ our Lord! Praise the Lord!
