| "Do not be afraid when one becomes rich, when the glory of his house is increased; for when he dies he shall carry nothing away; his glory shall not descend after him." - Psalm 49:16,17
"Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal." - Matthew 6:19,20
In our world rich people enjoy a special position in the society. People long to be rich because money can buy a lot of material things. But the Bible warns the rich not to be carried away by their temporary riches and experience a false glory. None of our material possessions will we carry to the next world. Lord Jesus instead commanded that we lay up our riches in heaven where our wealth is eternally secure. Serve the Lord with love, gladness and faithfulness. This is how we become rich in heaven. But the most important is to know the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior. We have all riches and glory in the Lord Jesus Christ!
