| "Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts." - Romans 13:13,14
"Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand." - Ephesians 6:13
If our eyes were opened to the spiritual world, we probably would have a whole new perspective of life and how we should live. We are surrounded by the agents of Satan desiring our harm and tempting us for our downfall. But a child of God is not alone, we are protected by the presence of God and upheld by His holy angels. When we are obedient to God, and walk in faith, we are protected the most. Otherwise, a child of God is prone to slip and stumble, and deprived of the joy of the Lord. The choices we make daily are important. Believers are saved from eternal condemnation, but while we are in our mortal bodies, we are not free from sin. The only way to enjoy sweet fellowship of our Lord is to put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Through prayer, meditation in the word of God, and fellowship of other believers, we put the whole armor of God. Let's keep marching on looking at Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith.
Praise the Lord!
