"...O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done." - Matthew 26:42 "And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross." - Philippians 2:8 The very thought of being separated from the Father when the sin of the world would be placed on Him was unimaginable. Our Lord, the night before He was crucified prayed to the Father to take away the cup but only if it was the will of the Father. But God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son (to be crucified), that whoever believes in Him shall have eternal life. Our Father let His only begotten Son die from the hands of wicked men, and the Son was obedient to the Father to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Praise the Lord!
