| "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven." - Acts 1:11
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." - 1 Thessalonians 4:16
When our Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven after His resurrection, it was an event witnessed by many believers in Jerusalem. He ascended and was received in the clouds and was seated at the right hand of God the Father. One of these days, our Lord will return. He will descend from heaven and with a shout He will receive His own to Himself. All the dead in Christ, and those living in Christ at that time, will be changed in the twinkling of an eye, and will be united with their Savior, never to be separated again. If you are a believer in Christ rejoice over this truth and the hope we have. If you have never trusted Christ as your Lord and Savior, make that decision now, and enter into the joy of the Lord.
