"...'Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return there. The Lord gave. and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.' In all this Job did not sin nor charge God with wrong." - Job 1:21-22 "In everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." - 1 Thessalonians 5:18 How many time do we give God thanks when things are not going well? This is contrary to the human nature to give thanks or to rejoice when things are not going well. But we see this example in Job, who lost everything and yet he blessed the name of the Lord. We are taught to give thanks to God in everything. The Lord controls everything and when we submit to His will, we acknowledge that we trust Him. The will of God in Christ Jesus is for us to give thanks to Him at all times. For He alone is worthy to receive all honor, glory, and praise. Praise the Lord!
