"And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown." - 1 Corinthians 9:25 "To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne." - Revelation 3:21 Our world is getting competitive in all fields, whether it is academics, work, business, etc. Seems like survival of the fittest race. But that's not how things are when we view it from the point of view of Christianity. Based on our Lord's teaching the first in this world will be last and the last (those who live for Christ) will be first in the kingdom of God. We strive for an imperishable crown that never fades and the King of glory Himself will give to His faithful. The reward for the righteous is something we cannot describe or contemplate. Let's not get tangled-up by the race on earth but let's keep our eyes on Jesus and run the race of faithfulness. Praise the Lord!
