"If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." - 1 John 1:9
Sin robs us from the joy of the Lord. When we live a holy life pleasing to the Lord, we will experience the joy that no earthly joy can be compared against. In a world filled with sin and living in a body of sin, we can easily lose the joy of fellowship with our Lord. But our Lord is our advocate and when we confess our sins and repent from our sinful ways, our Lord will restore to us the joy of salvation. Salvation belongs to the Lord and only He can give us the joy that comes from it.
