"Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." - Revelation 2:4
In the letters to the seven churches in the book of Revelation we see the first letter to the church of Ephesus where our Lord is charging this church for losing their first love toward Him. It is indeed sad when we hear our Lord saddened by the church not loving Him as they used to. This may be true with each one of us if we examine our love for our Lord Jesus Christ. The other category of believers may be the ones that acknowledge the Lordship of Christ but not quite live it out. Either case, this needs to be fixed and we need to return to our Lord with repentance and seeking His strength to hold on to our first love toward Him. Let's be faithful in serving Him and not let our love grow cold.
