"There is a generation that curses its father, and does not bless its mother. There is a generation that is pure in its own eyes, yet is not washed from its filthiness. There is a generation - oh, how lofty are their eyes! And their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and whose fangs are like knives, to devour the poor from off the earth, and the needy from among men." - Proverbs 30:11-14 "But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:" - 2 Timothy 3:1 When we read Proverbs 30:11-14 there is no doubt it is speaking to the times we live in. It is speaking to our generation. Perhaps, it has been like this even when Proverbs 30-11-14 was written, but we do know that our generation is experiencing what's written at a totally new level. It reminds us of Paul's caution that in the last days perilous times will come. How long and how much more will it continue to get worse? God knows. But we have to be ready for the return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. It can be any day, any moment. Let's live as if it is the next moment. Praise the Lord!
