I'd like to thank everyone for their prayers and encouragement over the past week, especially in regards to my recent comments about believers needing to reach the lost. I related how I was tested on those words practically the same hour I uttered them, and failed miserably when the opportunity came about to actually put that into practice. Well I prayed for opportunities to speak to people this week, and one such opportunity did come about during a meeting at Apsly Street Gospel Hall last night. A lady happened to be sitting beside me at that meeting, whom it seems is not yet a Christian. This came as a surprise to me, for this was a ministry meeting and the lady happened to be wearing a head covering too. I was able to share with her how I became a Christian. So it just shows you, you never can tell who is or who is not a Christian. The ministry meetings have been on the book of Daniel. They have been most encouraging, and I have made some new friends too. Professor Gooding has been taking them every Thursday night. Last night I happened to get the opportunity to ask him if he would cover the issue of the 1260 and 1290 days mentioned in chapter twelve. Many people have emailed me information on this on the website, and some have suggested that the extra 30 days may come in before the middle of the tribulation period, for Purim falls exactly 30 days prior to the Feast of Passover and this may have something to do with the Antichrist's defilement of the Temple. I thank everyone for their helpful suggestions, although I haven't had time to read through all the documents people sent me. Professor Gooding said that he may bring the subject up of the 1290 days if I raise it, but he also mentioned in passing that it seems that Antiochus Epiphanes' hostilities against the Jews continued for a certain period before the real onslaught began. If that is true, and if Antiochus Epiphanes was a foreshadow of the real Antichrist, it seems that the defilement of the Temple could occur on the Feast of Purim, 30 days prior to the Antichrist's resurrection stunt. I will try and update my chart on the seventieth week to reflect this new information.
