| "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, nor shall the flame scorch you." - Isaiah 43:2
"...Then the Lord said, 'I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.' " - Acts 9:5
Christian persecution has been rising throughout the centuries, and it has never been absent from the life of the Church. From the first century until now, countless believers have given their lives for the testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet one thing is certain for every Christian: our Lord is with us in every trial. He Himself partakes in our suffering. He will never leave us nor forsake us. Some He delivers through the waters and through the fire, while others are called to lay down their lives for His name. But in every path, whether deliverance or martyrdom, our Lord goes with His people, strengthening, sustaining, and glorifying His name through them.
