"All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." - John 1:3, 4 "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men." - Philippians 2:5-7 The deity of our Lord Jesus Christ has long been a point of debate among those who acknowledge Him only as a prophet, teacher, or enlightened guru. Yet Scripture speaks with unmistakable clarity. No matter the angle from which one examines this truth, the Bible consistently and decisively reveals Jesus Christ as God. The opening verses of the Gospel of John declare that Jesus is the eternal Word of God, existing before all creation, and that all things were made through Him, and nothing came into being apart from Him. This testimony is not isolated. From Genesis to Revelation, the entire canon of Scripture points to Christ, revealing Him as the promised Messiah, the eternal Son, and the Lord of glory. He is the second person of the Holy Trinity, one God in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This is the faith once delivered to the saints, upheld by the witness of Scripture and affirmed by the church throughout the ages. To God be the glory. Praise the Lord!
