| "Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near." - Luke 21:28
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first." - 1 Thessalonians 4:16
Before ascending to heaven, our Lord Jesus Christ comforted His disciples and gave them hope about His return the second time to receive all believers to Himself. All believers who have put their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, both dead and alive at that time, will have a glorious welcome in His presence. The dead in Christ will rise first followed by those who are alive and remain shall be caught up together in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Isn't this a wonderful hope we all should look forward? Our griefs and sorrows on earth are only for a moment compared to the joy and glory in the presence of our Lord through all eternity. Let us rejoice in this hope we have through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near!
