| "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me." - Exodus 20:2,3
"For you were bought at a price; therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God's." - 1Corinthians 6:20
When God gave the ten commandments to the people of Israel, the first of the commandments is to have no other gods before Him. This commandment reveals to us the relationship God desires with each one of us. He desires that we be faithful to Him and to Him alone, and nothing in this world should take the place of God in our lives. Unfortunately, many gods in different forms occupy our hearts and minds and robs God of His glory. Jesus Christ our Lord displayed God's love by dying for us and paying the price of our sin debt. We are now bought with a price, a price beyond human comprehension, which the Son of God paid on the cross. Let us therefore glorify God in our body and in our spirit, which belongs to God.
