"And God said to Moses, 'I AM WHO I AM.' And He said, 'Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.' " - Exodus 3:14 " 'To whom then will you liken Me, or to whom shall I be equal?' says the Holy One. Lift up your eyes on high, and see who has created these things, who brings out their host by number; He calls them all by name, by the greatness of His might and the strength of His power; not one is missing." - Isaiah 40:25,26 Typically, children are given a name at the time of their birth. Parents plan and think of a name that would make sense to them and their family. The name usually represents something from nature or attributes or objects of life. But what is the name of God who created all things? He will not go by some name as part of His creation because He is outside of space and time. He is the eternal all living almighty God. Hence when Moses asked God His name that he can tell the people of Israel and Pharoh, God's reply was, "I AM WHO I AM". He is the self-existent God from eternity to eternity, the Alpha and the Omega. Who will we liken God to? There is none and nothing in His created world that can be likened to Him. Let us praise Him and worship Him, our God and Creator. Praise the Lord!
