| "Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace be still! And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, 'why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?' And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, 'Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!' " - Mark 4:39-41
"Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony." - Hebrews 11:1,2
We know the incident when the disciples and Jesus were in a boat and their boat was caught in the middle of a fierce storm. The disciples thought they are perishing and in panic they wake up Jesus, who was asleep on a pillow. The disciples did not believe yet that He who created the universe is in their midst, and no harm can come to them. Jesus calms the storm by just speaking to the storm. Are we not similar to the disciples when faced with adversity? We forget that Jesus is with us and He goes with us in the storm of our life. Now the storm we face may not end immediately, but when we trust in the Lord, we will experience His peace and grace in the midst of our storm. Let us put our faith in the Lord at all times. Remember, by faith the elders obtained a good testimony.
Praise the Lord!
