| "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them." - Ezekiel 36:26-27
"Jesus answered, 'Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." - John 3:5
Israel was promised by God through the valley of dry bones analogy that they will receive a heart of flesh and the Spirit of God will dwell in them. The fulfillment of this scripture was not well understood by Nicodemus and the other teachers of the law during the time of Jesus. Jesus answered Nicodemus one of Nicodemus' greatest needs. Even being a teacher of the law, Nicodemus lacked the Spirit of God until he believed in Jesus from his heart. Every human being is in the state of dry bones without the Spirit of God. When we put our trust in the Son of God, Jesus Christ, and believe in His name, the Spirit of God will indwells in us. And without the Spirit of God in us, we are lost for eternity. Believe in the Lord Jesus and you shall be saved, is the promise.
