"For this reason I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day." - 2 Timothy 1:12 "For we did not follow cunningly devised fables when we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of His majesty." - 2 Peter 1:16 We do not know if Paul personally witnessed any miracles of Jesus or if he even met Jesus before Jesus' resurrection. But once Paul came to know Jesus through his experience on the road to Damascus, his life changed and He became one of the greatest preachers of the Gospel in the new testament. Paul was not ashamed of whom He believed or of the Gospel of Christ, but he fully committed his life for the cause of the Gospel and he lived and died for his Lord. On the other hand, we know Peter was one of the closest disciples of Jesus and He witnessed the majesty of Christ on the mount of transfiguration. Peter also lived and died for his Lord. Now, we have not seen Christ physically. But we know He lives in each and every believer who has received Him and trusted Him for salvation. We ought to live and, if God's will, die for our Lord. For we are not following any cunningly devised fables but we believe in the true and living God and our Saviour. Praise the Lord!
