| "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people." - Genesis 49:10
"But you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are not the least among the rulers of Judah; for out of you shall come a Ruler who will shepherd My people Israel." - Matthew 2:6
God made a covenant with king David (2 Sam 7) that He will establish king David's throne forever. We see this prophecy fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The scepter will not depart from Judah. Our Lord came the first time to redeem His people from their sin and give them eternal life. Our Lord will return to establish His kingdom and fulfill the covenant with David. He will rule and reign, and all those who trust in Him will reign with Him. Shiloh [Jesus Christ] will come and He will bring peace.
