Israeli officials accused Iran and its terrorist-proxy, Hizbullah, of masterminding an attack which left an Israeli diplomat's wife critically injured. The blast occurred as she travelled to pick up her children at a school in New Dehli, India this morning. A second attack in Tblisi, Georgia was thwarted after an Israeli diplomat discovered a device attached to his car. The Iranian government denied orchestrating out the attacks, instead accusing Israel of bombing their own embassies in order to further the 'psychological war' against Tehran...

Quote: ““This accusation is within the Zionist regime's psychological war against Iran,” the official IRNA news agency quoted Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast as saying. “The Zionist regime, due to repeated crimes against humanity, is the main party accused of terrorist activities,” he said, according to IRNA.

In this twisted logic, the Jewish people are somehow held responsible for every evil in the world, even when it befalls their own people. This is typical of anti-Semitic beliefs, holocaust denial being the chief example. President Ahmadinejad will claim on one hand that the holocaust is a Jewish myth invented by Jews to try and take control of the world. But in the same breath he will lament the fact that Hitler was unable to eradicate the Jews, and express his desire for another holocaust that would finish off what he had started. Another example of this anti-Semitism is the attack on the Twin Towers. The people that danced in the streets the day the Twin Towers fell are the same people that now accuse Israel and the United States of carrying out the atrocity themselves in order to invade the Arab world. There is no logic to their beliefs, but as long as Israel gets the blame, they do not care.

I think if we are viewing this conflict as a war over arms, we have missed the whole point. Western media perceives it as a dispute over nuclear weapons, and largely ignores the underlying ideology that is behind its acquisition. Unfortunately Islamic hatred of Israel and the West is not going to disappear with Iran's nuclear weapons. It's the ideology that must be disassembled, and very little is being done by our politicians and media to bring that about. And as a result we are now facing a similar situation to that of 1939. Only Israel doesn't have one Nazi Germany to contend with, but half a dozen. And the world will reap the cost of appeasement, just as they did during the Second World War.

Praise God that He is still in control. This world would be a very depressing place if we were not certain of that fact. God has revealed to us in the Bible how this present situation would come about, and He has also revealed to us the outcome of it. While dark days are ahead, it is true, we can be certain that those who have trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation are on the victory side. I'm glad I'm on the victory side. But it wasn't always that way. I started off on the wrong side. I was fighting against God. I was counted as an enemy of God in my mind by wicked works (Colossians 1:21). But God is merciful to His captives (Isaiah 45:13), and He delivered me from the power of darkness, and translated me into the Kingdom of His dear Son (Colossians 1:13). And now I am on the winning side! Are you on the winning side? Turn away from your sin, trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation today.
