"But he said, 'If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead." - Luke 16:31

"When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers, saying, "Tell them, 'His disciples came at night and stole Him away while we slept.' " " - Matthew 28:12,13

When Jesus rose from the dead, the soldiers who were guarding the tomb went and reported all things they witnessed with their own eyes. And yet this did not prompt the chief priests and the elders to repent and follow Jesus. On the contrary they paid the soldiers to suppress the truth. It is God who opens the eyes of the spiritually blind. If you hear His voice today, respond to it and receive Christ.
